i'm back to blog(again!)
mostly cause im really kind of bored and i dont wanna start on a new drama cos i'll sleep at unearthly hours of 2/3am and i wont get enough sleep
and i'll be like a zombie the next morning
so to pass time, i'll blog
hahahaha
i think i shall talk about my job (:
time really flies past damn fast and i hardly feel it
its been about five months since i started working in BCA hahah
it hasn't been particularly exciting
well, the admin work itself is absolutely boring. i mean i have to check and key figures over and over every single day
but i'm glad i got the opportunity to work there
for one, i feel kind of useful. like i have my own responsibilities, i take charge of the work i do and am able to answer directly to my superiors when they question me about anything under my charge
which makes the job kind of satisfying in its own sense i guess
and when i find discrepancies in the data and stuff i feel a tiny bit of satisfaction that i have helped to prevent some company from being billed wrongly and stuff like that.
so if i look back i haven't exactly been sitting in my cubicle, doing nothing but growing fat(ter) but i'm kind of helpful. at least a little.
self-affirmation aside, my superiors and colleagues are really quite nice to me
the younger ones give me advice about university stuff
and the older ones(aka aunties) teach me about office politics(eurgh), what to look out for when director is coming, who are the nosey parkers and busbodies in the office whom i should look and for and stuff XD
and the uncles.. dont care much about me but still treat me nicely. hahaha one of them even offered me his umbrella when i was walking back from amoy to office cause it was raining. and i was quite shocked cos he's normally quite fierce.
plus there's this really cute old uncle! (whom only jasmine and karen will know who i'm talking about XD)
and they generally close one eye, or even both eyes when i come into office late/come back from lunch late/surf the net during work/use the photocopier and printer for my own purposes.
hahahah i sound like a horrible staff to hire XD
and we always have department birthday celebrations & lunches
my fellow temp who sits next to me also helps the day to get past faster cause we can talk and laugh about stupid things we've encountered.
so basically, while my pay there is not fantastic ;__;
it is overall a rather interesting and worthwhile experience i guess
plus i got lucky(once again) cos i got posted to one of the more amiable and friendly departments so at least i dont get scolded or snubbed at or anything
i have about another one month and a half to go at BCA.
who knows, maybe at the end of it i might actually feel a little reluctant and upset to leave ;)
